Use
ES 12 is a multiple-appliance control panel that is used to interlock EBC controls with multiple appliances.
The control will allow interlocking of up to four appliances. For applications involving more than four appliances multiple ES 12s can be used when wired in parallel.
Description
Used as a component of the Chimney Automation System or Mechanical Dryer Venting System, the ES 12 and the appropriate fan control will start the fan when one of the connected appliances calls for heat. When sufficient draft has been achieved, the appliance(s) will be released. Should the draft fall below the setpoint, all appliances will be shut off.
If used with a Modulating Combustion Air System the ES 12 and the EBC 31 will start the air supply ventilator when one of the connected appliance(s) calls for heat. When sufficient boiler room pressure has been achieved, the appliance(s) will be released. Should the boiler room pressure fall below the set-point all appliances will be shut off. ON and OFF operation of the appliances can take place independently.
All terminals have a LED for fail-safe supervision and easy troubleshooting.
Through the use of Opto-couplers, each terminal connection will accept 10-120V AC/DC, which makes the control extremely flexible. For example: a boiler with 24VDC control circuit can be connected next to the terminal serving a boiler with 120VAC control circuit without changing any relays.
Material
The housing is made of plastic and has a clear cover. It has an IP54/NEMA 12 rating.
